I’m thrilled that you’re opening Sugar Face Dogs. There is such a need for specialized care for senior dogs. And what a great service to give end-of-life support and hand-knitted blankets, among other services.
It was my pleasure to have you as a team member at my pet care company, Allysyn. When you worked with me, you were my first choice to care for those most precious pooches.
After all, we first met in 2016 in the parking lot of our mutual veterinarian Creature Comfort, when you were assisting one of your senior dogs, Terra, into your vehicle. I offered help but you were already so attentive and in tune with what she needed that after we chatted I was inspired to ask if you might like to work with me.
I loved working with you and will be very happy to send clients your way. I can’t think of a better person to take care of elder pets. I wish you much success.
Molly Kenefick, Top Dog / Owner of Doggy Lama Pet Care, Inc.

I have sincere admiration for all you do to give these amazing senior dogs the love they deserve. You are amazing. (Referring to my senior dogs that she attended over the years: Terra, Emma, George, Anna Bell, Koda and Marmaduke.)

This letter affirms that you, Allysyn Kiplinger, are a volunteer foster in fine standing with Golden Gate Retriever Rescue. You have demonstrated incredible care and dedication to rescued dogs.
You provided an incredible 7-month-long foster home for 120-lb male Lab mix Koda whom we pulled from the Martinez shelter in late 2019. You nursed him back to health following the removal of a large growth on his back.
Koda became part of your life and you traveled with him, treating him like he was your own dog. In fact, you ended up adopting Koda in June 2020 and cared for him until his passing a month later.
Very few of our volunteers would have the fortitude and commitment to take on

a huge dog like Koda. He thrived in his time with you.
David Ely, Vice President, Golden Gate Labrador Retriever Rescue

I was thrilled to learn that my neighbor Allysyn Kiplinger is starting a pet care business specializing in senior dog care.
She has so much experience in this area.
As long as I have known her (over 20 years), she has fostered or parented older dogs with much love and the best of care. Each one has had it’s own health care issue, which she did everything to resolve in the best way possible. She has a lovely home and yard in one of the best neighborhoods in Oakland in which to care for her (or your) older pet.

Finding someone better suited than Allysyn Kiplinger to care for your sugar face dog(s) would be a difficult task indeed! Over many years and with many senior dogs, I’ve witnessed Allysyn’s love and care for them expressed in many situations.
When a firm hand is called for, her inner “alpha dog” takes over. When care giving is needed, her attentive “nurse” side springs into action. When it’s time to “horse around”, her playful puppy-ness comes to the fore. All the while, her loving, caring “Mom” side is always evident, whatever the situation.
As you know Allysyn, I’ve hoped for a long time that you’d find a way to bring your excellent entrepreneurial skills and love of senior dogs together. I wish you and Sugar Face Dogs all the best!

Never in my many decades on this earth have I seen a more enthusiastic, dedicated and efficient lover of animals than Allysyn Kiplinger. I’ve know her since 1995. She’s always been especially available to care for sick, wounded and/or older animals, often as a volunteer foster mother. Whatever her challenge, she’s game, and I’ve seen her take on many tough challenges. She can laugh and cry with you. The depth and frequency of her laughter is delightful. What a blessing she will be to your animal companion.
