The “Meet and Greet” process starts when you call and we see if we are a good match.
We will chat about you and your dog’s needs, hopes, wishes, dates for care, etc.

Meet and Greet #1 – If you’d like to move forward, the next step is for me to meet you and your dog at your home, where your dog feels most comfortable. I want your dog to feel as relaxed and comfortable as possible the first time they meet me in the hopes that that comfort follows us to Meet and Greet #2 when they come to my place. “Oh, I know you! You’re the easy-going lady who visited us and fed me treats! Hi, nice to see you again!” I’ll bring dog treats, my business portfolio for you to review and leave you with a copy of my contracts to look over at your leisure.
We can do a Zoom Meet and Greet if you live out of my service area (Oakland, Piedmont and Berkeley).
Meet and Greet #2 – The final step is for you and your dog to come to my place to sniff it out, look around, get acquainted, and chat some more. I want to see how your dog reacts to a new environment. The idea is for your dog to feel comfortable coming to my house and then going home with you, building familiarity, comfort, ease, and confidence for when they return for a stay.
While you are here you might see doggie gates, non-slip rugs on the wood floor, cozy DIY dog dens under tables, dog beds strewn about, or custom / “MacGyvered”arrangement of my furniture to accommodate current visitors. I love making my doggie guests as comfortable as possible!
